PAYM’s WORK IN AFRICA
PAYM builds African youth partnerships
The Pan African Youth Movement works to strengthen youth organizations and amplify youth influence across the continent. We support equal partnerships between youth formations in different African countries, rooted in solidarity, justice, and shared struggles for democracy and development.
These partnerships foster democratic awareness, deepen young people’s participation in political and civic life, and strengthen youth-led action across communities. By working together, young Africans are inspired to take responsibility, safeguard their rights, and lead transformative change in their societies.
PAYM promotes dialogue and solidarity across Africa
Dialogue is central to PAYM’s mission. We create spaces for young people from diverse regions, cultures, and political traditions to engage, learn, and cooperate. PAYM’s cross-border networks and platforms bridge divides—political, religious, cultural, and ideological—strengthening youth solidarity and continental unity.
Strategic partnerships
PAYM collaborates with a wide range of African and continental partners to advance its mission. Among these is TrustAfrica, a key ally in supporting youth-led initiatives that champion democracy, participation, and inclusive development. Together with our partners, we are building a strong ecosystem where African youth movements thrive as agents of change.
